A neurologist is a medical doctor who specializes in treating diseases of the nervous system. The nervous system is made of two parts: the central and peripheral nervous system. It is our Department’s vision to bring much needed sub-specialty services to the communities to whom we serve, while leveraging BWH for delivering the most complex care. It includes the brain and spinal cord. The UCI Health team of neurologists specializes in treatment of all disorders and conditions of the nervous system, including:
• Epilepsy
• Parkinson’s disease and tremor
• Multiple sclerosis
• Stroke
• Dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease
• Headaches, including migraines
• Gait and balance disorders
• Vertigo and dizziness
• Pediatric neurology
• Neuro-ophthalmology, including vision loss and diplopia
• Normal pressure hydrocephalus
