Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a type of scan that uses strong magnetic fields and radio waves to produce detailed images of the inside of the body. We have professional radiographer, who is trained in carrying out imaging investigations. Our doctor will ask about any health problems, recent surgeries or allergies and whether there's a possibility you are pregnant. The magnetic field is not harmful, but it may cause some medical devices to malfunction.

They control the scanner using a computer, which is in a different room, to keep it away from the magnetic field generated by the scanner.

The following are examples in which an MRI scanner used:

Anomalies of the brain and spinal cord

Tumors, cysts, and other anomalies in various parts of the body

Breast cancer screening for women who face a high risk of breast cancer

Injuries or abnormalities of the joints, such as the back and knee

Certain types of heart problems

Diseases of the liver and other abdominal organs

The evaluation of pelvic pain in women, with causes including fibroids and endometriosis

Suspected uterine anomalies in women undergoing evaluation for infertility
