Operation theatre is a room where operations are performed.

 

A room in hospital which contains an operating table or similar device, generally   accommodating one patient at a time, duringwhich, under the direct supervision of a medical or dental    practitioner; the patient undergoes an operative procedure for theprevention, cure, relief or diagnosis of disease, or in pregnancy, childbirth. We ensure surgical safety in operation theatres.

 

If you are booked for a procedure, you will be asked to be present at Theatre Reception where the administrative staff will commence your admission process.  It is important that you bring with you documents that are relevant to your admission such as your test results or any medical imaging (x-rays) that may be related to the condition that requires you to have surgery.
